assume they must be very happy to start being part of the prestigious Faculty of Law at the University of Chile.

Be assured that from the first day of class will realize the many and diverse possibilities intelecual School to develop and to expand into areas such as politics, social action or sports. Democracia Cristiana Universitaria
As (DCU) we want to inform you that for a couple of years the School has implemented a major process of academic reform, in order to adapt the juridical science education to the needs of today's world.
Under this reform, no longer found in the School of oral exams or annual subjects probably told them their parents and grandparents.
The new academic system, in force since 2002, provides for the existence of semestral subjects, written exams, and a flexible curriculum in which, only core subjects have the character of "mandatory" courses being created "elective" which should serve to deepen and complement the core knowledge taught compulsorily.
the success of these momentous changes that have inspired subsequent reforms in other law schools depends on our school for many years to retain its current prestige and influence.
is why from the year before in session a Technical Commission of plans and programs, aimed at assessing the degree of success achieved by the implementation of the reform and make recommendations to Faculty Council, the highest resolute in our School, changes to the current configuration of the curriculum. Both the Commission and the Council participates our Faculty Advisor, Daniela Castillo
Other topics that interest us, and on which we met to discuss permanently, are the newly established system of quality accreditation of universities, university funding and deficiencies in basic public education and media (in relation to this aspect during the debate last year about the job permanently Advisory Council on Education Chair)
With pleasure we invite you to speak out, through this our blog (www.dcuderecho.blogspot.com) or in person any questions you have about academic issues or related to the operation of faculty in general, and to engage in the discussion of these issues, which urgently needs the strong participation of as many students as possible to enrich their opinions and viewpoints.
Dare to know our political movement and to discover the principles and ideals that guide our actions (and we have become one of the political forces, more numerous and successful student at the Faculty of Law).
Enjoy your years of study at Pio Nono and hopefully get excited about the idea of \u200b\u200bparticipating in political discussion to thereby contribute to the enhancement of which will be your second home for a while.
